Purpose
At Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District, we are proud to be recognized as the #1 School District in the Madison Area and the #1 Best Place to Teach in Dane County. Our district includes top public schools such as Middleton High School, Pope Farm Elementary School, and Kromrey Middle School.
Our district serves a diverse community, with households speaking 60 different languages. This diversity fosters an inclusive environment where every student is valued and motivated to excel.
Middleton High School (MHS), the state’s largest high school, serves nearly 2,400 students. In the 2023-2024 academic year, MHS students demonstrated their excellence by achieving five state championships in athletics, highlighting our commitment to success in both academics and extracurricular activities.
Our dedicated staff are the heart of our district. They love working here because we foster a collaborative and supportive environment where innovation and passion for teaching are greatly valued. Our educators are inspired by our mission to educate all students to be contributing members of a community and global society.
